This is a Challenge for those seeking to “turn a new leaf”: those wanting to make a major, positive lifestyle change to drastically improve their overall health & fitness. It involves a 5-month commitment to yourself, including scheduled, supervised sessions, which consist of intensive, fully integrated workouts, ongoing nutritional advice, plus other related education. There will also be an element of “homework”, requiring players to progressively incorporate activity into their day-to-day life. Finally, ongoing support is available and provided throughout via phone or email. This ensures that any and all questions and concerns are addressed and keeps players in the game.

PRIVATE
  • Single Player (1-on-1): $3300
    • ONLY $55/session for 5 months ($660/mo or $165/wk)
    • SAVE $600 - OVER 15% OFF!
SEMI-PRIVATE
  • 2 Players: $2700 ea ($5400 total)
    • ONLY $45/session ea for 5 months ($90 total)
    • SAVE $600 ($300 ea) – 10% OFF!
  • 3 Players: $2100 ea ($6300 total)
    • ONLY $35/session ea for 5 months ($105 total)

NAME OF THE GAME:

PLAYERS

Beginners: Those who are new to activity or have been active in the past (but it’s been a while).

Players must have:
  • Enthusiasm for change.
  • Commitment to goals.
  • Dedication to success.
  • Devotion within.
Players must be:
  • Positive in attitude.
  • Ready to work.
  • Willing to sacrifice.
  • Eager to begin.
DEAL
  1. The Challenge is 5 months in duration, with 3 x 1 hour sessions/week. Sessions are held at a Private Downtown Studio, with the possibility of some sessions conducted at outdoor locations, and are programmed and administered by a Certified Personal Trainer.

  2. The Challenge is designed for 1-3 players to ensure appropriate attention is given to each player. Rates vary based on number of players (please refer to HI FIVE Rates).

  3. Start-date of Challenge is open, and TBD by players and their trainer at time of registration.

  4. Sessions involve supervised exercise programs that are designed and progressed specifically to the individual. Workouts target all aspects of fitness, including strength, cardio, flexibility, core, balance, posture, etc.

  5. Nutrition advice and on-going education relevant to your health & fitness is provided.

  6. “Homework” is given to players throughout the course of the Challenge. Homework will include additional physical activities and nutrition recommendations that are within the limits of each individual’s means and abilities. Activities may include walking, stretching, and other recreational or cardio activities. This is to promote a level of independence in regard to your health & fitness.

    * TO MAXIMIZE THE BENEFITS & POTENTIAL OF THE CHALLENGE, ALL HOMEWORK MUST BE COMPLETED.
RULES
  1. Appropriate athletic footwear and gym attire is required (ask your trainer if unsure). The possibility of needing outdoor attire (fair-weather) exists, and will be discussed at commencement of Challenge.

  2. All necessary equipment is provided (except what is indicated above). Additional equipment may be recommended to optimize training as it relates to the Challenge (i.e. heart rate monitors, pedometers, etc.) or for personal use, (i.e. home equipment) but is not required.

BREAKDOWN

Does 5 months sound like a long time to commit? At first glance, maybe, but in the grand scheme of things it’s not. Especially when it comes to making a radical change in health & fitness and to improving overall quality of life (immediate and future). Stepping back, here’s a look at the “big-picture”:

IF:
  • “HI FIVE!” = 5 months = 20 weeks = 140 days
AND:
  • The number of potential training hours within the Challenge are:
    • 3360 hrs/5-mo (20 wks) or 672 hrs/mo (4 wks) or 168 hrs/wk
BUT:
  • The number of ACTUAL TRAINING HOURS are:
    • 60 hrs/5-mo (20 wks) or 12 hrs/mo (4 weeks) or 3 hrs/wk
THEN:
  • LESS THAN 2%* of your time is spent training during the course of the Challenge.

* The above numbers include supervised training hours within the Challenge only. If outside “homework” hours are also included, this number will vary depending on individual goals, effort, and dedication. The actual number of training hours may then range from < 3% - 4% of your time spent participating in regimented, scheduled exercise (THAT’S IT!).

ANALYSIS:


The 5-month Challenge is a tiny, minute, fraction of time - yet extremely significant! Suddenly it doesn’t seem so long after all, especially when considering the exponential return of immeasurable positive goodness received...
